GREENSBORO, NC (WFMY) -- The North Carolina Department of Transportation now reports 800 roads are closed due to flooding.
NUMBER OF FLOODED CLOSED ROADS
About 750 of those roads are in the eastern half of the state due to all the flooding from Florence as rivers also continue to crest.
NCDOT INSPECTING ROADS, BRIDGES
The NCDOT has been able to inspect some of the roads and bridges as some of the waters have receded. However, for other communities, it’s still a game of waiting for the water to drain away.
The NCDOT has released this list of main highways and travel routes that are closed due to flooding as the weekend is near and many will hit the roadways for travel. You'll find the complete list below.
