School Closings & Delays
Alamance-Burlington Schools - Delayed 2 hours for students and staff
Asheboro City Schools - Closed on Monday
Alleghany County Schools - Closed on Monday
Carroll County Schools - Closed on Monday
Caswell County Schools - Closed on Monday for students and staff
Chatham County Schools - Closed on Monday
Danville Public Schools - Closed on Monday
Davie County Schools - Closed on Monday
Davidson County Schools- Closed on Monday
Elkin City Schools - Delayed 2 hours on Monday
Guilford County Schools - Guilford County Schools are closed Monday. Early and middle colleges at Guilford College, Greensboro College, Bennett College, North Carolina A&T State University and UNCG will be closed.
Lexington City Schools - Closed on Monday
Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools - Will operate on a 2-hour delay
Patrick County Schools - Will close Monday because of a risk of mudslides.
Yadkin County Schools - Yadkin County Schools will be closed on Monday for students
Stokes County Schools - 2-hour delay
Surry County Schools - 2-hour delay
Randolph County Schools - All schools in the Randolph County School System will be closed on Monday, September 17.
Rockingham County Schools - Closed on Monday.
Thomasville City Schools - Closed on Monday
Mt. Airy City Schools- Will operate on a 2-hour delay with the option to close on Monday. If closing is necessary, a decision will be made by 8 a.m.
Montgomery County Schools- Closed for students Monday with an optional workday for teachers and staff starting at 10 a.m.
High Point Home Educators (HPHE)- Closed Monday
College Closings
UNCG- Canceled classes for Monday to give those coming from out of the area an opportunity to return safely to Greensboro.
North Carolina A&T - There will be no classes for North Carolina A&T, on Monday, Sept. 17.
Guilford College- Canceling classes for Monday, Sept. 17. Even though classes are canceled, the College will be open for all other business and services on Monday under normal operating schedules.
Bennett College- Has canceled classes for tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 17. Classes will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Greensboro College- Classes canceled Monday; college offices reopen 10 a.m.
