Senator John McCain is showing his support for President Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh. The Arizona Republican said the President has chosen someone with "impeccable credentials and a strong record of upholding the Constitution." McCain also said Kavanaugh is a fair, independent and mainstream judge who deserves a fair and thorough confirmation process. McCain has been absent from the Senate since late last year as he continues to battle an aggressive form of brain cancer in Arizona.
Republicans have a slim majority in the Senate and with McCain's absence, they can't afford to have any of their members voting against Kavanaugh.
