11-Year-Old North Carolina Girl Set To Star In New Disney Channel Series

A young girl from North Carolina is making it big in the entertainment business, achieving a goal that many kids can only dream of. Elle Graham is just 11 years old but she recently scored a starring role in a new series on Disney Channel. Secrets of Sulphur Springs premieres at 8 p.m. Friday, January 15.

"This is the first show that I've ever done with kids and I love the show so much," said Graham. "Every script that we get, I just want to read more. And I love the set and the crew. It's just awesome."

Graham has appeared in hit television shows like The Walking Dead, The Originals, and Stranger Things, as well as multiple films like Captive, Mile 22, and Trial by Fire, where she acted alongside Hollywood superstar Mark Wahlberg. Most recently, she had a recurring guest starring role on Swamp Thing. She has also shared the screen with Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

Secrets of Sulphur Springs is described as a family-friendly, sometimes spooky, time-travel mystery that anyone would enjoy. Crews had to halt production at the start of the pandemic but were able to continue filming with new safety precautions. Now, Graham, who has been acting since she was 3 years old, is a pro at filming during the pandemic.

"We had a lot of procedures," she said. "You had to wear your mask every time of the day until you're actually doing the scene. So, my mom had to wear her mask all the time unless we were in our own trailer. There were these little glass cubes that we couldn't go out of them. They handled it great."
