GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) announced today that Bennett College will be removed from its membership.
The all-women's HBCU plans to appeal the decision by the SACSCOC. Bennett will retain its accreditation during the appeals process.
The decision by the SACSCOC comes at the end of Bennett College's two-year probation period due to financial instability and enrollment struggles.
