Titans' Matthews Says He'll Quit If Forced To Stand For Anthem

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews says he will quit football if the NFL forces players to stand for the national anthem.  He made that statement on social media in response to the question of whether he would stay in the locker room and face a fine or penalty if the league imposes a new anthem rule.  Matthews tweeted, "No I will be done playing football."  The post was deleted shortly after.

The NFL and the Players Association issued a joint statement this week saying there has been no change in policy, but they will discuss the issue further at the upcoming league meetings.
